<li>Secara teoritis kurva probabilitas populasi diwakili oleh poligon frekuensi relatif yang dimuluskan (<a href="https://ramzilhuda.com/variabel-acak-dan-distribusi-peluang/">variabel acak</a>  kontiniu diperlakukan seperti variabel acak <a href="https://ramzilhuda.com/logika-proposisi-matematika-diskrit/">diskrit</a> yang rapat).</li>
<li>Karena itu fungsi dari variabel acak kontiniu merupakan fungsi kepadatan probabilitas (<i>probability density function &#8211; pdf</i>).</li>
<li>Pdf menggambarkan besarnya propabilitas per unit interval nilai variabel acaknya.</li>
